Rosemary Lattus
“Hola, I am Rosemary Lattus, but my friends call me Rose or Jose. I am from 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh in a small town called Natrona Heights, PA. I am a senior Spanish-Education: secondary high school major at WVU. I work at the bookstore and like to go the gym. I am the vice president of the Spanish honorary fraternity, Sigma Delta Pi. I immediately became intrigued in this class/trip because I am working towards my fluency in Spanish. International media has always been interesting to me so I figured that this would be a perfect opportunity to get to study both. I have traveled to Italy and Canada, and have studied in Brazil (with Macy, who is also going on this trip) and Spain. I am excited to visit South America again.
I am extremely excited to see the difference between the cultures that I have already experienced and Peru’s. I am excited to visit Machu Picchu, Lima and Cusco. The other students going on this trip seem to be just as excited as me about going. I think that they will help me gain an appreciation of the culture and media of Peru. I am looking forward to spending my trip with them.”
